Nanotechnology Positions, including Solar Panels and Chip Design
Found an on Craigslist for Nanotech and Clean Tech certification. Took an 8 week course and learned about incredibly small, yet dense, chip making. Of course, we also discussed in depth: nanotubes, bucky balls, nanofibers, etc. Note: the EPA is also trying to stay on top of the supply and whereabouts of these materials. Also, learned about solar energy, hydrogen, butanol, wind, and hydroelectricity. Used a scanning electron microscope that was awesome. Just this alone is a resume builder. They also have discussions regarding entrepreneurs. One of my classmates offed me a job as a coordinator for his consulting firm that he started just by listening to the professor's advice to "satisfy a need" in the marketplace. The company handles matters as a liaison for the EPA. The training center has a job board for technicians, scientists, and engineers. There are centers in San Jose, CA and Irvine, CA.
